The vesper light

An elegant architectural wall light made in solid brass.

Our vesper light began life as a beautifully engineered, late nineteenth-century brass handrail. The original rail was long enough to produce the first ten vesper lights, which caused such a scrum we knew we had to create more.

The vesper light quickly became a classic; thanks to the quality of the fixture, the customisable design and the ability to grace a broad range of interior schemes.

When placing an order, you have a choice of two bulb positions (exposed or recessed), four hand-patinated brass finishes (chocolate, honey, dry bronze or verdigris), and four bracket styles (straight, angled, long or short). They can also be painted.

The lights are made to order in 100% solid recycled brass and weigh two kilos - they are substantial fixtures. We make each one in our Stamford workshops to the highest quality and provide lifelong support with our 100 year plan.

The vesper light works as well alone as it does in multiples, and is versatile in terms of where and how it can be used - with short brackets/recessed bulbs working to illuminate staircases and hallways, and long brackets/exposed bulbs giving design-led accent or ambient lighting for larger, adaptable spaces.
