The living island

The living island is a made-to-measure solid wood work table conceived as a freestanding island and inspired by the Old Kitchen at Burghley House, England. Handmade in our Stamford workshop in oak and other timbers, each island is tailored to its setting with bespoke dimensions, detailing and finishes.

Prices start at £10,000 plus VAT for a pared-back design, with most versions pictured priced around £35,000 plus VAT. Pricing varies with timber, finish, dimensions and detailing. Contact us for options and pricing for your project, including trade pricing for interior designers.

Materials
  • We can make the living island in oiled oak (any of our oak finishes), sycamore, elm, ash, chestnut or walnut. We can also hand-paint the living island.
