The cellar table

A bold architectural pedestal table inspired by the estates and vineyards of Italy. This is close to a shape I'd seen appear in several places – on tables and in architecture, but I'd never seen it at this scale in wood. When a client asked for a large square table for their vaulted wine cellar, I knew straightaway what I would propose. Smaller than the original table, the example shown here is made in English character oak, with a 6mm steel sub top for ultimate rigidity and support.

This symmetrical pedestal will work just as well with a circular top, or it can be elongated along one plane to work for an oval, or rectangular table. For a particularly long table, multiple pedestals can be used to support the length.

Every cellar table is made to measure in our Stamford workshop.

The current lead time for a cellar table is 14 weeks from receipt of full payment and sample/drawing approval.
