A studio table
2019
Originally created for Nicola Harding's sustainability-themed 'Legacy Lounge' at London's Decorex 2019 (last image below), this birch plywood table has since been the 'desk' at the centre of workshop life.
The brief from Nix was 'seventies vibe and handsome' and it had to accommodate as many interior designers/journalists with laptops as the space would allow.
We chose to knock-back a yellow dye to complement the green Farrow & Ball walls and brown mid-century furniture (sourced from Vinterior), and give the table a faded, used look. It was then finished with a natural Osmo oil.
We loved the table enough to make it part of our made to measure collection. We called it the 'studio' table, because that was the purpose it served in the VIP area, but its sculptural presence would allow it to occupy any large space, and provide a very practical surface.
