The legacy table

The first legacy table was so called because it was made by an apprentice maker, using four different wood species – the best way to speed learning, and make good use of spare timber.

Seven years on, the legacy table has become our best-selling table so relying on spare timber is no longer an option, but the design still provides an important challenge in the development of a young maker (see Georgia learning from Greg, below).

The legacy table is wonderfully versatile – the longest so far is 8m (26ft) and the smallest is 60cm sq. (24"). The trestles can be moved and adapted to suit any chair configuration, and made finer or heavier if the design requires.

The lead time for a legacy table is 6-12 weeks from receipt of full payment and sample/drawing approval. Please ask for the present lead time.

The legacy table is made to measure in our Stamford workshops.
