We’re looking for a committed, creative and versatile new team member to join us in our busy workshop.
Matthew Cox is a growing British brand with a successful background in antiques and an exciting future in antique-inspired contemporary design.
As our ‘finisher’ you‘ll learn how to create our range of bespoke wood and metal finishes – you’ll have a fascination with colour, an eye for detail and a genuine love of design. As an artist, you’ll need to have experience of painting either furniture, canvas or murals or patinating/colouring metals. The job will entail matching finishes on antique pieces and creating antique effects on new pieces.
You’ll be happy to move furniture/set-up showrooms/photo shoots and be involved in collections and deliveries. Ideally, you’ll hold a full, clean driving licence and have your own car.
If you have a practical pair of hands, a creative mind and can juggle multiple tasks, then we’d love to hear from you.
Hours: 4 days 9.30am-3.30pm (flexible hours)
Pay: £8/h (starting pay) plus pension
