Reassuring detail

Well-executed, honest design details delight many, and at the very least, reassure others. They represent trust and understanding, and so offer peace of mind.

A wooden table top fixed, but free to move with the seasons to prevent splitting, or a brass lantern designed to quickly dismantle – reducing freight, and delighting the person tasked with hanging it at the other end.

Who wouldn't want more of this in their life?

These examples of a considered approach represent a universal truth – that we thrive with reliability, a uniting factor for all life on this planet. They show an understanding of our common challenges, creating a feeling of oneness, harmony, and ultimately love.

So, when we set out to make something the best way we can, we take responsibility and show love and respect for our craft, each other, and our planet – not just now, but into the future too.

No wonder a carefully considered, lovingly made object brings so much joy, whenever it's encountered.
